Text description provided by the architects. Cumbres House is a residential project located in the Cumbres neighborhood of Santa Fe in Mexico City. The shape of the house arises from exploiting the maximum allowed space due to restrictions on the ground floor.

Plan

The main premise of the project was to design the house to be inhabited by a person with disabilities, and that he was able to move around the house alone. Each space needed to be studied for the correct function and performance of family activities.

We decided to place an elevator with a skylight in the house, articulating the three levels with the program of activities. On the ground floor is the public area while the private area is in the top two levels.

Plan

A terrace links two bedrooms to maintain the necessary communication between its members at all times, while in the kitchen we placed a skylight with mirrors on the walls to give a sense of spaciousness and being in open space.
